Natural stone needs to be treated properly to last. For this purpose, only specialised natural stone cleaning, protection (impregnation) products, special wax coatings and crystallisation should be used. Cleaning and maintenance of kitchen worktops is carried out weekly or monthly, depending on the intensity of use. If the kitchen surface is damaged by coffee, oil or wine, the surface should be cleaned immediately with a special cleaner for natural stone. Cleaning of stone floors is carried out according to the intensity of use. For the exterior, natural stone is cleaned every six months, preferably in spring due to active climate change. It is also important to pay attention to the joints, as the transition from winter to spring and from autumn to winter changes the temperature and exposes the natural stone to thermal expansion, which can lead to damage to the joints and the stone itself. It is therefore important to monitor the condition of the joints. If the seam is damaged, it is better to refill it so that the stone slab lasts longer and does not have to be completely replaced.
